A Gariig Cactus
the Garîg also known as the Tookash, Yanta Hlianteron , Garack, Iannungol and Sheloboon was a desert barrel cactus with a dark green body, red thorns which grew in quartets, large flowers with brilliant scarlet petals and yellow stamens, and yellow fruit. Large individuals could grow 1' high and wide, but most were only one third that size. The interior pulp was edible, although extremely sour, and contained a powerful stimulant which healed concussion hits. Garîg fruit tasted
like grapefruit and contained a mild hallucinogen.
The cactus was native to Gorgoroth, and was prone to attracting spiders, often the spawn of Shelob.
