The Woodmen (An."Lirimiya";Av."Tiur-tini") of the Dark forests of the south were a number of quite distinct small tribes.They resembled the other Barangiles with the exception that they still lived like their ancestors from earlier ages, they knew little metals, if at all, hunted, gathered or lived of fishing and hoe-farming, forming only small and primitive communities which often only lasted for some months or a year until the group moved on.They shunned and mistrusted their more settled and civilized kinsmen from the coastal lands, often to the verge of open hostility.However these men sometimes co-existed quite peacefully with some neighbouring groups of Avari-elves.
