Taur i-Methed Ambar

Taur i-Methed Ambar

The Wood at the World's End (Q. Tauremorrë, Ad. Yôzayan-Talaf, S. Taur i-Methed Ambar) was a vast and primeval forest shrouded in mystery, lying at the farthest eastern reaches of Easternesse, beyond the Burnt Land of the Sun and the scorched highlands of Kalormë. It was said to be the last great woodland before the earth met the Gates of Morning, where the Sun emerged from its unseen realm beyond the Circles of the World. The Númenórean explorers who reached its outer edges in the Second Age described towering trees with silvered bark and blood-red leaves, unlike any found in Middle-earth, whose roots burrowed deep into the lifeblood of the earth. The heart of the Wood at the World's End remained uncharted, veiled in thick, emerald mists, where even the hardiest adventurers feared to tread.
