The Wizards of Umbar originally were an Order of Black Númenórean Ziguri, heirs of the ancient magical lore of Númenór. In later times the Order was more and more taken over by members of Haradron heritage and the old knowledge was diluted by Haradrian superstition and dark mysticism.
