Witeburg (Eo."Castle of Torment") was the town nearest to the Hornburg.It lay in the Deeping Coomb about four miles beyond Helm's deep and over a mile northwest of the Juggler's Hall.
The town's name derived from the oddly shaped hilltop on which the small wooden-walled settlement had been built, the Witeberg.
