The White Corsairs (An. "Ban-Alkarháde") were a loose alliance of sea-raiders, mostly from Azrukadar or the Ivory Peninsula, and partially even Umbarean exiles, who harassed Southernesse in the 13th and 14th century of the Third Age.They were able to dominate large parts of the Ulmic Coast and conquered some of it's settlements , notably Whitesmile, where they soon were absorbed by the local populance, many of whom were descendants of the Scarlet Swearers.
