Waterbury was a village on the north bank of a stone bridge over the Fairwater opposite to Bankling, providing access to the Great East Road for the miners of the Hills of Scary. While further Hobbit settlement in the area had left Bankling isolated Waterbury, the Fallohide village on the north bank, had outgrown it. The Settlement later evolved into the village of Budgeford.
