The Wandering Companies (S.: "Raenar Dirnen") were groups of wandering Eldar, most of them Noldorin exiles. They were nomadic families of Elves of all ages, though some were more mixed in size and membership than others, who roamed the wilds between Lindon and Imladris, staying only periodically in safe camps or Elvish Glades.The more or less informal ruler of the Raenar Dirnen was Gildor Inglorion.
