Vidar was a dwarven emissary who travelled a long way from Erebor to attending a meeting at Rivendell during the War of the Ring. After the meeting, Vidar returned to Erebor to inform the King of the One Ring presence and a a secret company had been tasked to destroy it in order to prevent the shadow from spreading.
