Valandil (Q. "Friend of the Valar") was a mariner of Númenor and companion of Isildur.
History[]
His family was of the community of Faithful that had prospered, though were struggling in the time of Tar-Palantír's failing health, with the King's Men beginning to reach a new height of power. Valandil was a compatriot of Isildur on Númenor during his time in training as a mariner and ship captain. Valandil was also a friend of Ontamo, and the two noticed that Isildur had been distracted during their training during the day. They then saw him depart when his sister Eärien came to see him.
