The Uvanwaith or Noman’s Land
The Uvanwaith, Dead Marches, or Noman-lands was a general term for the wild and largely unsettled lands on the borders between Anduin, Rhovanion (Mirkwood), Mordor (Ered Lithui), and larger Dor Rhúnen. The area encompassed:

- the Brown Lands (S. Berennyn)

- the Dead Marshes (S. Loeg Fírn)
- Duil Rewinion (S: "Hunter’s Hills")
- the Emyn Muil (S: "Drear(y) Hills")
- the Emyn Rhain (S: "Border Hills")
- Nindalf (S: "Wetwang")
- Talath Harroch (S: "South-horse Plains")
