Ulundûr, the sorcerous steed of the Mouth of Sauron, was a Morgûl-horse, the first (and perhaps the last) of its kind to be seen by the Free Peoples. Its master rode it to the parley with the Captains of the West at the Black Gate during the War of the Ring. Exceedingly large and powerful, it could run almost as fast as a Meara and enjoyed tremendous stamina. Its sharp-edged hooves and saw-like jaws enabled it to penetrate a foe's armor in a melee. The beast's greatest weapon, though, was undoubtedly its foul steam, which was akin to the Nazgûls' infamous Black Breath. With a range of 30 feet, the horse could breathe on any target within a 5 foot radius.[citation needed]
