Twilight Host
The Uialrim (Q. "Twilight Host", "Elves of the Dusk"), Elves of Taur Rómen or the Gloaming Elves, were a lesser-known branch of the Wood-Elves (Tawarwaith), residing in the vast, enchanted forest of Taur Rómen (Uia. Nelornieth), also known as Eryn Rhûn (S. "Wood of the East") and Agasha Dag in the local Folyavulthig tongue. These Elves were counted among the Umanyar, the Eldar who never reached Aman, but unlike the Sindar and many Nandor, the Uialrim were closer in kinship to the Avari, the Unwilling, from whom they descended in part. Despite this, they adopted much from the traditions of the western Elves, blending both Avarin and Nandorin elements into their culture.
The Uialrim spoke a distinct dialect of Nandorin, a branch of the Lemberin languages, derived from Archaic Telerin, which in turn originated from Common Eldarin. Their speech, known as Uialrin (Uia.), contained remnants of the West-Danian tongues, closely related to Siragalian but distinct due to its development in the remote eastern forests of Taur Rómen.
