
Tunic refers to a simple piece of clothing, long or short-sleeved or even sleeveless, covering the upper body and reaching to the waist, the hips or sometimes even down to the knees.
Tunics were a standard garment if most cultures of Middle-Earth.Elves wore a kind of tunic they called "Laupe, Laub" and "Hamp", the Dúnedain wore a type they called "Andyeth".Orcs wore short , either short-sleeved or sleeveless leather-tunics they called Balbush.
