Tudgech hyn Bodnod was a rugged mountain woman whose little amount of Elven blood kept a blush on her cheek, brightness in her hazel eyes, and strength in her limbs. She had brownish-red hair, and a commanding visage. She avoided wealth and dressed simply in pale beige robes. Tudgech's ability to dominate nearly anyone she encountered stemmed from internal power, rather than external trappings.
Her principal weapon was the staff Ghostbane. Although the bards' stories related that this item was bequeathed to her by Iweriadd Gwynn, they were wrong. The staff, although it bore the same name as the one carried by Iweriadd, was created for Tudgech by the Dark Dwarves of the Ered Angurath in Núrn at the Dark Lord's orders. It was an intricately carved length of bleached ash. The wood glew whitely in the gloom of the caverns. It serves as a spell adder, and enabled the wielder to control any ghosts, wights, ghouls, or specters within a 100 radius. Ghostbane also acted as an Undead-slaying quarterstaff.
Notes[]
Original form:Tughaib na Bhainnan=Tudgech hyn Bodnod
The Name Tughaib is maybe derived from old irish tugaib, "thatched" or even "much hair".Bhainnan is also a word of irish origin with various possible meanings, but more likely Bánanáig, "white spirits", was intended. If the Name was to be replaced with a welsh name Toes hyn Bodnod could be a possible choice though possibly her name should be taken as an "untranslated" form. .
