Notes[]
This is from unreleased content and is subject to change.
Tirharad looks superficially like a Quenya/Sindarin polyglot meaning "Southwatcher". If a translation like "Southwatch" was intended it would most likely be something along the lines of "Tirith Harad" or "Harndirith" in Sindarin. However the term also could be an indigenous form of some Human language remotely akin to Nandorin or Avarin.Sindarin itself was not very widely in use during the Second Age and was unlikely to be used outside of Lindon, Eregion or by Sindarin colonists in the Great Greenwood or Lothlórien. In Halethian "Harad" could be interpreted as "High man, Great man" while "Tir" could be related to the word "Tûr", "hill, mound", maybe meaning "pillar" or "tower".
From previews, it appears to be located in Núrn. Its inhabitants seem to have more Celtic/Germanic inspiration, implying they would correspond with Ioriags or Donaen.
