Thórin's Hall (Kh. Dronûn-Dûm) was a small Dwarf-hold in Thorin's Gate in the Ered Luin, close to the estuary of the river Lhûn. The site of these delvings was south of the spur of the Ered Luin and near the upper valley of Imladorn. It was founded by Thrain II and his son Thórin Oakenshield, as a place where the folk of Erebor in exile settled for a time, and who used it to build up his wealth before setting out on the successful expedition to recover Erebor in T.A. 2941. It was mostly settled by Longbeards and a number of Broadbeams affiliated with Dúrin's Folk.
The region around the Halls was a small valley between the crags of the Ered Luin, where one could find a marketplace in Frerin's Court, named for the brother of Thorin Oakenshield. Inside the Halls were mines, forges, and a garrison, as well as a sizable entryway and throne room.
