Boromir: "Is it not a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt for so small a thing? So small a thing!" - J. R. R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring II:10 |

Thorin's Gate was an area within Ered Luin in northwestern Eriador. In the late Third Age, this area hosted the largest dwarven settlement in Middle-earth, and was in itself a centre of activities and features of all sorts.
Closely bound to this area were Thorin's Halls and its services, the Thorin's Hall Homesteads to the southwest, and the Refuge of Edhelion to the east. Centrally located was Frerin's Court, and from there ran the main road southward past Vale of Thrain and beyond. Within Frerin's Court stood a Reflecting Pool.
