Thargelion
Thargelion (S. "Beyond the Gelion", Os. "Pelgelion", Q. "Tharellesire", N."Radhrost"), also (archaic) Talath Rhunen, was the appellation Dor Caranthir while technically correct for the whole region was used herein and casually by Elves for the northern coast. Thargelion encompassed all lands between the Gelion, the Ascar and the Ered Luin, stretching north to the Belegaer. It was a region of great natural beauty, known for its expansive forests, the serene waters of Lake Helevorn, and the imposing peak of Mount Rerir. Thargelion was rich in resources and strategically important due to its proximity to the mountains and the Dwarf-road, which facilitated trade and alliances between the Noldor and the Dwarves of Nogrod and Belegost.
