Tarlang's Neck (S. Achad Tarlang) was a pass which threaded the gap between Tarlang and the White Mountains, and so provided passage between Morthond Vale and Lamedon. The neck was part of Tarlang, named after a mythical Giant from the First Age whose supposed remains had once formed the Tarlang-chain. Passage was easy through the Neck, which was gently sloped and almost never blocked by foul weather.
