Tarcil was the sixth King of Arnor. He followed Arantar to the throne in T.A. 435 and ruled until his death in T.A. 515. In his times Tarcil was seen by many comtemporaries as being a bit of an odd sort, he was distrustful and often overcautious and sought close friedship with the Dwarves of the Ered Luin. His son Tarondor of Arnor succeeded him.
