- just educated guessing. There wouldn't be a lot noldor that far in the south and ICE chose to gave many of their sinda-lords of the silvan either a mixed background or a silvan partner... - I also have another reason... both names aren't proper Sindarin or Quenya. As a Noldo the Form of Eldanars name should be Eldanáro in Quenya, not Eldanar.Aranlys also isn#t either proper Quenya nor Sindarin, -lys doensn't even exist in Sindarin. So i guess that both names probably were either avarin names losely sindarinized or the other way around, Quenya or Sindarin Names losely avarinized.--Haerangil (talk) 11:14, April 24, 2015 (UTC)
