okavango shares it's name with a real existing river in africa. I think such name-relations should be avoided, at last for the earlier ages (5th and 6th age woukd probably be okqy to include mythical or early historical nations and names). So, what can we do? Oh my! I wasn't aware of that. Looks like the MeFM author got lazy on this one. But I agree: it should be changed. Ideally, I'd like to change the name completely, but I'm not sure at the moment how. Perhaps Cikahopa since it's on the shore of the lake Cika Mag, and hopa seems to be the Magrin word for "town/city" (cf.: Alyahopa).
