  2. "Eburacum/Eboracum" is the ancient Latin name of York (England), all names based on the PIE word for Yew-tree, and so has a definite meaning ("Place of Yew-trees").

huh?cardolan? That must be wrong dunland is eastern enedwaith! Yes i know... ebur is celtic and may either refer to a boar or a tree, usually a yew or rowan though. Why? Efwr is the welsh form of it, meaning ivy though, efrauc or efrog is the middle welsh form of Eburacum.Cwm means valley.--Haerangil (talk) 06:54, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
