Tûkamûr was a bluish-green grass native to semiarid to temperate shortgrass prairies. Tûkamûr contained a powerful, dangerously addictive euphoric drug which was prepared by boiling the grass, straining the extract, and boiling again to condensing the extract into a syrup. It allowed two users, both under the influence of tûkamûr syrup, friendly to one another, and lying within a range of 50 miles times their spiritual level to share dreams. If eaten raw, tûkamûr grass was sweet and mildly euphoric. In many areas, tûkamûr had been eradicated by herders attempting to keep livestock away from it.
