Tîo (Hal."Of the Sky" ?) was a boy of Tirharad (in Núrn) who lived during the Second Age.

He appears to have been from a group more culturally of Donaen descent, though likely with mixed heritage from those of Ioriag descent.

History[]

Tîo was the son of Bronwyn, a Woman of Tirharad, and an unknown man who was absent from his life. His mother loved Arondir, a Silvan elf, and was maligned from the rest of the youths because of the strangeness of his family. However, he partially gained the respect of one of his bullies, Barahal, by showing him the fragment of a mysterious sword, which in fact bore the mark of Sauron.

He was frightened when an Orc attacked the home of himself and his mother, though Bronwyn was able to slay the attacker.

Notes[]

This character is from an upcoming adaptation, and few details have been released. This is subject to many changes.

Original form: Theo = Tîo

Theo is usually the abbreviation of greek names like Theodor or germanic names like Theodoric. The first element meaning "God in Greek or "People" in germanic. Both would seem unfitting outside of Westron-speaking cultures of Eriador in the late Third Age, given the conventions of the principles of translating names, though perhaps "Theo" could be interpreted as the modern rendering of a similar sounding indigenous name, possible of Pre-Númenórean, maybe Halethian or early Haradron origin.
