Boar

Pigs, both wild and domesticated variants, were known throughout Middle-earth, though they were originally believed to come from central or eastern Middle-Earth and were scarce throughout Harad and virtually unknown on Ambar's other continents. The Early Elves seem to not yet have known these animals and they certainly never domesticated them. The High-Elves were only acquainted with the fierce "Carcapolcar" or "Tusk-pigs" and even the early Edain were not yet swineherds. It is believed pigs were first domesticated , or at last domesticated swine from the east were first introduced to the Westlands, by latecoming ancestors of the later Daen-folk.By the mid-third Age they were quite common throughout the westlands.
