Starvar working in the Underforges
Starvar (Me."Hard mover") was a fallen Maia from Varda's people. He was Morgoth's leading engineer in helping send spirits to attack the two lamps. Starvar also aided in protecting the Dark hosts retreat to Utumno as well; eventually Starvar fell in battle against the Valinor host at the Siege of Utumno.
Starvar maintained his bright light form, wearing purple robes and a purple hood with a mask--his light showed forth from his robes, but looked as though it were a dying star. Starvar's real name was never known, but the loremasters eventually ascribed this name to him.
