Standelf and surroundings
Standelf (older:"Stangedelf") was a small hamlet or village in southern Buckland, close to the High Hay and the Old Forest. It was originally built as a housing for the miners of the name-giving delving, but soon other Hobbits moved in and began stockbreeding, changing the character of the settlement. Most of it´s inhabitants were a poorer offshot of the wide Brandybuck clan, other families included the Goldworthies, Gorbucks, Headstrongs and Puddyfoots.
