Spring of Arda

The Spring of Arda, (V. Aþāralassē; Vn. Ardalassëa) also counted as the First Era of the Lamps, was an epoch of unparalleled beauty and harmony, marking the early labors of the Valar and the first flourishing of life under the light of the Two Lamps, Illuin and Ormal. This era was a time of creation, growth, and the harmonious shaping of the world according to the vision revealed in the Music of the Ainur. The Spring of Arda remains the most idyllic period in the history of the Arda, unmarred by the shadow of discord until the return of Melkor.
