Southerners was a term loosely applied to the southern Eriadorians by more northern peoples such as the Breelanders or the Hobbits of the Shire.In the late third Age many southerners came as fugitives or outcasts into the northern Regions such as Breeland.Many were just poor families which had fled from the trouble and feuds in Enedhwaith, but some of them were Brigands or agents of Saruman.Among these were the Dunlendings and Half-Orcs of Sharkey´s company in the shire.Most Southerners were of Daen descent.
