The Slimy Gorkin (S. Mithbaran, Q. Sindivarne) also known as Slime Grub was a brownish fungus looking like a typical mushroom in shape (a 4" diameter convex or flat cap on a 2" high stalk). Its grey gills, covered with a slimy substance resembling mucus, descended to the stalk. Slimy gorkins tended to grow in large patches of several hundred individual fungi, found exclusively in Underground areas. It tasted disgusting but could be eaten.

Most healers found the slimy gorkin of little if any medical use but a tea made from it would serve as a potential antidote against poisoning from white destroyer,shagu-bitter, deadly akra and kaktu.
