A sledge, also known as a sled or sleigh, was a form of transportation that slid across land, usually snow or ice. To perform this, it had either a smooth underside or two smooth runners, parallel to each other and affixed to the underside of the sledge. The main body was commonly made of lightweight wood, and could carry passengers or cargo. The sledge was usually pulled with sled-dogs, men or, uncommonly, horses.

The sledge was most commonly used by peoples living in far northern regions, such as the Snowmen.
