Skeletons or Stirring Bones (S."Hûnranath",BS."Shalashti") were similar to corpses, except that they had been picked clean of all flesh. Somehow their bleached bones hang together, animated by evil forces. While not as inherently disgusting as Ghouls, the sight of an animated Skeleton bearing weapons was still terrifying. The common Skeleton attacked after the manner of a Ghoul,rushing headlong at its foe and using its teeth and claws. Skeleton Lords often bore the weapons that were buried with them and could utilize simple magical items.
