Sir Ascarwing (S. "River [of] Rushing-spray" or "Foam-rush"): a fast-flowing stream in Fornithilien that flowed from its headwaters in the northwestern Ephel Dûath, southwest through North Ithilien it cut through the Taurithilien down to the Anduin river near Cair Andros. Henneth Annûn was located on it roughly halfway to the Anduin.
