Shûdhamel (Me.: "Mighty breath") was an ancient spirit of Arda, a creature of the Underdeeps who lived in the shape of a gigantic Worm or centipede.It may be that Morgoth used Shûdhamel to breed Cave-Worms or that he was the ancestor of other bizarre creatures such as the Giant Sheep-killing Earth-Worm.
