Sederi (Se.) was the language spoken by the Sedêre (Ki. "Settled People")—a Mayitûan-speaking warrior people who formed a significant minority in the Dominions of the Seven, particularly in northern Zimrathâni. The Sedêre were semi-nomadic herders, hunters, and warriors, living primarily in rugged and arid lands unsuitable for agriculture.
As a language, Sederi was closely related to Kirani and Apysaic, with both tongues sharing strong lexical and grammatical roots. However, Sederi preserved older forms and structures that had been lost or simplified in Kirani, making it a more conservative dialect within the Mayitûan linguistic family. The language also eveloped a unique blend of grammatical structures and borrowed elements from Zimrathânian (Black Adûnaic) and Old Haradaic.
