Emperor Rurzaur was one of the three Easterling monarchs under the command of Sauron at the time of the War of the Ring and an ally of the Lhûki-kân.
His dominion was an area in Rhûn called Boughamânush, where he was the most powerful of several rival emperors.

Rurzaur was born in T.A. 2,920 and became King in T.a. 2,940, he started building his kingdom in Blázar in T.A.2,942, his first great achievement was the defeat of Garglar, He destroyed the kingdom of Garglar, with an massive army, and expanded his kingdom to Garglar and after this, he had become the fifth of the more powerful easterling emperors in this time.
T.A. 2,960[]
In T.A.2,960 he fathered 2 sons, Erbunz and Sbazar, and in the same year, defeated Argaz, who was widely considered the fourth of the most powerful emperors of Rhûn.
T.A. 2,990[]
In T.A. 2,990, he led an army of 40,000 easterlings against the former gondorian city of Candros in Dor-Rhûnen, in this battle, his son Sbazar was slain. But even despite of Sbazar's death, Candros was destroyed by the Easterling Army.
T.A. 3,000[]
In T.A.3,000, The Dark Lord Sauron called upon Rurzaur and ordered him to Mordor. In the same year, he became number three among the most powerful emperor by defeating his rival Binzak.
T.A. 3,019[]
With the begin of the War of the Ring, Rurzaur, who had by the meantime been elected to the position of Lhûki-kân, attacked Gondor several times without any greater sucess. When Sauron's army attacked Minas Tirith, Sauron ordered Rurzaur to set march to Dale and destroy that kingdom, causing the Battle of Dale. Rurzaur's army was able to conquer Dale but failed to seize the EreborDuring the Siehe his armies killed King Dain II Ironfoot and King Brand Bainson at the gates, the battle was nearly at the end but when the after the message arrived at Dale that One Ring had been cast into Mount Doom and Sauron was destroyed, Rurzaur decided to retreat to his Kingdom.In the withdrawal in his son Erbunz was slain by Bard II.

In FO 10, Rurzaur was slain by a rival Easterling Emperor.
