Rûbor

Rûbor (Mo."Steadfast Folk") was located to the northwest of Helcarth and west of the northern Orocarni, at the extreme northeastern edge of Middle-earth's broad East-plain. The Illuin Wood stretched to the north. Deciduous forest and hills separated the high, cold grassland, from the rich Nad Halmâsiri (Av. "Lamp-river Valley") to the east.

Mornârin-speaking herders, trappers, and hunters, the Rûbor were a tough, stout people. They lived a semi-nomadic life for a little over half the year, and retreated to permanent camps during the long northern winter. Despite the bitter cold, though, Rûbor bands hunted, trapped, and fished nearly every day of the year.
