Tolkien´s description of Éomer´s Helmet may have been inspired by an ostrogothic Spangenhelm, or it may be derived from the elven Crested helm via númenórian High-helmet types.
Movie Trilogy[]
The Rohirrim Helmets of the Movie Trilogy are a combination of the Spangenhelm, Viking Helm and anglo-saxon helmets.
