River Hiri was a small stream running south and west from the Hills of the North and the valley of Sirnúmen in northern Aman.It was partially navigable, there were channels connecting it to the creek beneath Tirion upon Túna, devised by the crafty Noldor and connected to river Nen which ran through Valinor and unto the springs beneath Mahanaxar (N).
