Rhimbron was a Silvan elf and the son of Rúmil of Lórien.

In early writings of the Lord of the Rings from the 1940s, Rhimbron was an early name of Rúmil, including Romrin and Rhomrin. As Rhimbron, he had another companion named Hathaldir.
