A tuber vine related to the sweet potato,Rewk was originally native to cool, temperate deciduous forests, particularly those with abundant maples. The vine had dark green heart-shaped leaves, small orange-yellow flowers, and small orange fruit. The large root tubers, which strongly resembled those of the sweet potato, contained a stimulant in their skin. When boiled, the tea or broth from a medium to large tuber healed concussion hits, and the tuber itself was highly nutritious.Rewk had therefore become one of the most widely cultivated herbs.
