Revion (Av. "Winter-scion"?) was a Silvan Elf of the Second Age.
History[]
Revion was the Watchwarden of the Watchtower of Ostirith, guarding several villages of Men believed to be likely associates of Morgoth and his remnant armies. Eventually, High King Gil-galad decommissioned several outposts beyond Lindon's territory, and had the authority to do so in Ostirith. Before closing up the watchtower, Revion expressed to the guard Arondir that he believed that the Men they were guarding would always be suscepible to Morgoth's darkness.

Revion could be a Sindarin form and possibly translated as "wanderer, flyer, sailer", but more likely it is intended to represent an unknown Nandorin or Avarin dialect.
