Raft Elves
The Raft-Elves (S. Edhil-Lathron) were a distinct tribe or sub-group of the Elves of Mirkwood. They lived along the eastern part of the Forest River and were the Woodland Realm connection with the outer world via the men of the Long Lake. The raft-elves, of all elves, were those most used and acknowledged to men and many freely walked in and out of Esgaroth or even the lesser settlements of the Lake-men, did business with the mortals and also attended their festivities.
