Polo Gamgee was a Hobbit of the Shire. Born in the late years of the Third Age, he was the son of Halfred Gamgee, making him the nephew of Samwise Gamgee. After the War of the Ring, Polo was very fond of his uncle's actual adventure and wanted to grow up to be like him.
