Arunya

An Arunya or Orrain Plant

arunya also known as the Orrain was a dandelion related to hugar, originally native to temperate shortgrass prairies, later cultivated. It had dark green leaves, amber to burnt-orange flowers, and a root system which frequently grew 2'-4' deep. A tea brewed from its roots caused sleep and quick unconsciousness; one hour of arunya-induced sleep was equivalent to four hours of normal sleep.Arunya tea contained a

highly addictive barbiturate.
