Les merveilles de l'industrie, 1873 "Rocella tinctoria, lichen producteur de l'Orseille". (4727131406)

A blue-gray paste prepared from Ondohithui, a lichen native to the coldest mountains, found most frequently growing between the highest peak rocks, could be prepared by carefully collecting, washing, and grinding the lichen into powder, then mixing the powder with lard.
