All the lands of the South Kingdom were home Obered (S."From the towers") a quiet Dúnadan. He roamed from place to place in his own subtle war against the forces of evil. His thick beard (unusual for a Dúnadan) and fur cloak had earned him the nickname "The Bear” among the townsfolk he visited and those who had seen him fight would attest that the name was fiting. He had made many friends among the people of the towns and villages and was popular for his stories told late at night around the tavern fires. Beneath his great cloak he wore a shirt of non-metallic Chain armor which did not inhibit his spell casting, was magical and could not be pierced by any arrow. A great Two-handed sword hung over his back and at his belt was a Short sword which could be thrown as if it were a dagger. In a pouch he kept two nodules of Rewk, one dose of Hárfy and one Degîk leaf.
