Tribesmen of the Utter South
The Narne (Na."Talkers" Av."Nârrimbi") were a wandering group of tribes from Hildorien that entered the Lands of the South in the First Age. They were cave-dwellers and herders, who feared the sun and worshipped the moon. While some of them seem to have been refugees from the wars and chaos of the East, some were the descendants of Men who had bowed before Morgoth.
The Narne were mostly a tall people with swart or black complexion, and were believed to have been the ancestors of the southern Haradrim, the Apysans, and the Barangiles of the Utter South.

Narnerin is one of the few MERP-languages for which the ICE authors did not mention a vocabulary base. The few Narnerin words used in MERP have superficial similarities to words from a wide range of languages including Finno-Ugric, Gaelic, Norse, Arabic, Bantu, Latin, Slavic, Korean and Japanese.
